Türkiye condemns the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli ministers and extremist settlers.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement: "We condemn in the strongest terms the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by some Israeli ministers, accompanied by groups of settlers, under the protection of the Israeli police."

The Foreign Ministry stressed that "the security of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the preservation of the sacred identity of Jerusalem are a fundamental responsibility, not only at the regional level, but also at the level of the collective human conscience."

She added that Israel's systematic provocations and recent calls for annexation "target the foundations of the two-state solution and severely damage hopes for peace."

The Foreign Ministry reiterated its call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the establishment of a lasting peace based on the two-state solution, in the face of ongoing Israeli measures that undermine stability in Palestine and the region.

For his part, Turkish Justice and Development Party spokesman Omer Celik condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli ministers and extremist settler groups, stressing that the attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque is an attack on all human values.

"The Netanyahu government poses a threat to all religious followers, and all of humanity must join forces to confront this threat," Glick tweeted on the X platform.

On Sunday morning, Ben-Gvir, leader of the far-right Jewish Power party, renewed his storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.

Ben-Gvir led a Talmudic prayer in the mosque's courtyards, commemorating what they call the "destruction of the Temple." Hebrew media outlets, including the newspaper Israel Hayom and Channel 7, broadcast video clips of the raid.

This was preceded by hundreds of settlers storming Al-Aqsa Mosque, where they performed Talmudic prayers under the watchful eye of the police, who secure the incursions and are under Ben-Gvir's control.
