Tijuana, August 16.– Two minors and a woman were arrested Friday night after violently robbing a ride-hailing driver of his vehicle during a coordinated operation in the city's northern zone.
During preventive patrols, officers were approached by a citizen who claimed to be an Uber driver, stating that moments earlier, a woman and two young men had threatened him with a knife to steal his child.
Through surveillance, the vehicle was located at the corner of Coahuila Street and Constitución Avenue, and a pursuit was initiated after the driver refused to stop. The vehicle traveled in the wrong direction along various roads until it finally crashed into a perimeter fence in Navarrete Square.
Angelo Armando, 17, who was driving the vehicle; Javier M, 17, who was in the back seat; and Valeria Alexandra, 19, who was the co-pilot and allegedly responsible for requesting the Uber service, were arrested.
