La Paz, Mexico, August 22. The Attorney General's Office (FGJEM) launched an investigation against public officials after Noemí, the mother of Fernando, publicly accused the local police, municipal DIF personnel, and the Justice Center of denying her support to recover her son, who was taken from her because she failed to pay a debt of one thousand pesos. The child was found dead.
Meanwhile, the FGJEM reported that it has dismissed the public prosecutor who covered the shift on Sunday the 3rd, the date the woman came to ask for help.
Likewise, it removed a public prosecutor assigned to the Gender Prosecutor's Office to determine responsibility, and the agency warned that it will not rule out taking action against other public servants.
As you may recall, Noemí publicly denounced that her son would be alive if the various authorities had supported her when she tried to report that the child was taken from her for lack of money and unable to pay a debt.
"The conduct described above demonstrates institutional delay on the part of this Prosecutor's Office, as well as a complete lack of empathy, compassion, and a lack of commitment to the service that should be provided to those who come forward to report any criminal conduct."
Therefore, he announced the dismissal of the public prosecutor's office assigned to the territory of La Paz.
