Mexicali, November 23.- The rector of the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), Daniel Valdez Delgadillo, once again left state deputies hanging.
The president of the Committee on Government and Constitutional Affairs, Juan Manuel Molina García, said the rector was summoned this Tuesday as part of the Education Secretariat's review, but did not attend.
"We've sent him the fifth and sixth invitations, and on the issue of gender equality, he hasn't shown up twice," the legislator said.
Molina García said that the reform initiative for gender equality in UABC positions was sent to her, but she never submitted it to the University Council as required.
On the issue of public resources, he said, the deputies want to know how the $600 million in infrastructure funds have been spent, as well as the $1.7 billion paid during the previous state administration, the allocation of which was authorized by Congress.
