Young Indonesian racer Veda Ega Pratama is keeping a close eye on the top of the 2025 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup standings after finishing runner-up twice in the Austrian round at the Red Bull Ring, Spielberg.
Coinciding with the 80th anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day, Veda performed consistently in the two races of the 12th series, successfully collecting an additional 40 points. This achievement brings the Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta, racer's points tally to 170, placing him in second place in the standings.
Veda is only 21 points behind championship leader Brian Uriarte (Spain), who has 191 points after winning two races in Austria. Meanwhile, Veda's closest rival, Hakim Danish (Malaysia), has dropped to third place with 165 points after failing to maintain a podium finish.
"Thank God, I was able to finish on the podium again in second place in the second race this week," said Veda after the race.
The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup has long been recognized as a crucial platform for developing young riders into MotoGP. With the distinctive atmosphere of the Red Bull Ring, the riders face another major test ahead of the final round.
Through the support of Red Bull Blue and Silver, this event continues to produce many racing talents, including Veda who is now on track to win the title.
