Gresini Racing rider Fermin Aldeguer said he had done his best while racing at the San Marino GP.
In the main race at the Misano Circuit on Sunday, Aldeguer finished sixth with a time difference of 16.069 seconds behind the race winner, Ducati Lenovo rider Marc Marquez, who finished with a time of 41 minutes 20.898 seconds.
"We showed significant improvement over the weekend. On Friday, I should have finished sixth twice," Aldeguer said in an official statement on Tuesday.
"I was struggling, and because the tire pressure was too high, I had to defend my position and adjust, which wasn't really my choice," said the racer.
This result puts Aldeguer in eighth place with 141 points.
