Tijuana, April 22. The great annual dance festival is back at the Tijuana Cultural Center (Cecut) with the arrival of the XXVI International Dance Showcase / Tijuana Bodies in Transit .
From April 29 to May 8, the public will enjoy dance performances, workshops, master classes, dance videos, emerging dance showcases, and the 4x4 TJ Nights choreography competition.
The program, which will be held within the framework of International Dance Day , will begin with an opening ceremony on April 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the Performance Hall, followed by the presentation of the finalist works of the 41st Guillermo Arriaga National Dance Award.
"Of Witches and Brooms" is one of the pieces, which invites reflection on the danger of normalizing violence, through a metaphor in which a woman turns a broom into a weapon of struggle, power, or even her own deathbed.
