Rosarito Beach Hotel officially declared a cultural heritage site in Baja California.

Mexicali, September 17. Through publication in the Official State Gazette on Friday, September 13, the Ministry of Culture officially declared the Rosarito Beach Hotel , which celebrated its 100th anniversary last July, a cultural heritage site of Baja California.

The century-old Rosarito Hotel thus became the first cultural heritage site declared in this municipality, thanks to the express request of businessman Hugo Torres Chabert , owner of the property.

Alma Delia Ábrego Ceballos, Secretary of Culture, reported that the current state administration has made 10 cultural heritage declarations.

"By making this declaration, we will preserve the cultural value of this iconic complex, which will boost the successful family business that has characterized it since the 1920s," said María Eugenia Castillo, a cultural heritage specialist.
