Candra Wijaya's career story is documented in the book

The career story of Indonesian badminton legend Candra Wijaya is documented in a book entitled "Golden Footprints from Above" written by senior journalist Broto Happy Wondomisnowo which was launched at the Daihatsu Yonex-Sunrise Candra Wijaya International Badminton Centre Serpong, South Tangerang, Banten.

Broto Happy Wondomisnowo, author of "Jejak Emas dari Atas," stated that the idea for this book arose from his concern over the limited literature on badminton in Indonesia. He believes there are many valuable stories from legends worthy of being written down as a legacy for future generations.

"We hope this book will motivate badminton legends to share their life experiences and achievements, worthy of being written about. Books on badminton are still limited, even though Indonesia is known as a strong badminton nation," Broto said in an official statement on Saturday.

"Hopefully, Candra Wijaya's book will motivate and inspire other badminton players to follow in his footsteps," he said.

Candra Wijaya acknowledged that the presence of this book has become a historical record, which includes his thoughts as a player and his contributions to badminton development, especially in the doubles sector.

"Through this book, I want to convey that the success and achievements that have been achieved so far are the result of strong determination, professionalism, militancy, and integrity in the sport of badminton," said the 2000 Sydney Olympic medalist.

The launch of this book also serves as an important moment to celebrate Candra Wijaya's dedication to the world of badminton and emphasizes the importance of documenting the journeys of Indonesian badminton legends as a source of inspiration for the younger generation.
