Doha announces hosting an emergency Arab-Islamic summit next Sunday to discuss Israeli attacks.

Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said in an interview with CNN that an Arab-Islamic summit will be held in the capital, Doha, in the coming days to approve a collective response plan to deter Tel Aviv following the Israeli targeting of the Hamas negotiating delegation in Doha.

In the same interview, the Qatari official described the Israeli attack on Doha as "state terrorism," saying, "I have no words to express how outraged we are by this act... It is state terrorism." He added, "We have been betrayed."

The Qatari Prime Minister explained that an Arab-Islamic summit will be held in Doha in the coming days to decide on a "collective response" against Israel.

On Tuesday, Israel claimed responsibility for the attack targeting Hamas leaders in Qatar. Hamas announced that its negotiating delegation, led by its head in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, survived the assassination attempt. Jihad Labad, director of al-Hayya's office, his son, Humam al-Hayya, and three aides were killed: Abdullah Abdul Wahid, Moamen Hassouna, and Ahmed al-Mamluk.

The Qatari Prime Minister said that discussions are currently underway to explore a response to Israel with regional partners, expressing his hope that the response will be "realistic in stopping Israel's bullying" and "effective in deterring Israel" from its attacks.

He considered Netanyahu "attempting to undermine any chance for stability and peace" by attacking the Hamas leadership in Doha, and stressed the need to bring Netanyahu "to justice," as he is already wanted by the International Criminal Court.

Following the Israeli attack, the Qatari Prime Minister announced at a press conference that Doha had formed a legal team to take the necessary measures to respond to the attack.

On Wednesday, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the legal team held its first meeting, where it reviewed "all legal avenues available to Doha."

The ministry affirmed "Qatar's firm commitment to the provisions of international law and its determination to preserve its sovereignty and defend its rights by all legitimate means based on the principles of international law."

The Israeli aggression against Qatar sparked Arab and international condemnation, amid calls to deter Tel Aviv and halt its attacks, which constitute a flagrant violation of international law.

The attack on Qatar came despite its mediation role, alongside Egypt and with US participation, in indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel aimed at reaching a prisoner exchange and ceasefire agreement.

With this attack, Israel expanded its aggression in the region. It launched an attack on Iran last June, has been perpetrating ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank for nearly two years, and has carried out airstrikes on Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen.
