Semov presents Canacintra partners with vehicle detour due to roadworks in Terán-Alamar

Tijuana, August 25. In compliance with the public policies outlined by the 24th Tijuana City Council, headed by Mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez, the Secretariat of Sustainable Urban Mobility (SEMOV) presented the alternative routes to Canacintra partners for the Terán Terán-Alamar hub project.

The head of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (SEMOV), Obed Silva Sánchez, in a meeting with the president of Canacintra, Jorge Figueroa Barrozo, explained the measures to reduce traffic disruptions in the maquiladora industry once work begins on the Respira Program, which will be implemented by the State Government's Secretariat of Infrastructure, Urban Development and Territorial Reorganization (SIDURT).

Silva Sánchez emphasized that the proposed alternative routes could be improved, and that SEMOV will address the concerns of businesses that could be affected by these works. "Please be assured that the Municipal Government is working to ensure the smoothest possible traffic flow in that area," he said.

Silva Sánchez emphasized that they are also collaborating with Sidurt on the Detour Committee to establish alternate routes that will facilitate the smooth flow of freight and private vehicle traffic.

The president of Canacintra praised the willingness and openness of municipal officials to listen to the concerns of representatives of the various companies that form part of the organization he represents.

During the meeting, it was agreed to conduct practical exercises on the alternate routes before the formal start of construction on the new hub, to verify their effectiveness and, if necessary, make the corresponding adjustments.
