Escalation in attacks by the occupation army and settlers in the West Bank amid Palestinian resistance operations.

Armed settlers from the Mitzpe Yair settlement attacked the homes of citizens in the village of Al-Halawa in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, and assaulted members of the Abu Aram family, in addition to stealing two donkeys from the village, according to the Palestinian News Agency, WAFA.

The agency added that the occupation forces detained the young man, Muhammad Ahmad Abu Aram, after he confronted the attack, while the settlers damaged the residents' property.

In Salfit Governorate, settlers attacked the family of citizen Allam Al-Khafash in the village of Marda, north of the governorate, while they were working on their land to pick olives. They scattered the crop on the ground and brandished weapons at family members. Groups of settlers were seen surrounding citizens' homes in the town of Bruqin, west of Salfit.

Israeli occupation forces stormed several areas in Tubas Governorate, including the city of Tubas and the town of Tammun to the south, deploying infantry forces before later withdrawing. They also raided the Far'a refugee camp with several military vehicles and deployed soldiers in its vicinity, without announcing any arrests, according to WAFA.

These attacks come amid a surge in settler attacks in the West Bank. The Palestinian Commission Against the Wall and Settlements documented 431 such attacks in August alone. These attacks ranged from armed attacks, to the imposition of faits accomplis on the ground, to field executions, to the bulldozing of land and the uprooting of trees.

The Authority estimates the number of Israelis in West Bank settlements at approximately 770,000, "concentrated in 180 settlements and 256 outposts, including 136 agricultural and pastoral outposts."

The United Nations affirms that Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories are illegal and undermine the possibility of implementing a two-state solution (Palestinian and Israeli). For decades, the United Nations has called for their cessation, to no avail.

In parallel with the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli occupation army and settlers in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, killed at least 1,046 Palestinians, injured approximately 10,160, and arrested more than 19,000, according to official Palestinian data.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 65,549 martyrs and 167,518 wounded, most of them children and women, and causing a famine that has killed 442 Palestinians, including 147 children.
