This came in a speech by Kurtulmuş during the opening of a building for Turkish Maarif Schools in Hungary, in the presence of his Hungarian counterpart, László Kövér.
Kurtulmuş said, "It is our fraternal and humanitarian duty to defend the rights of the Palestinian people and the rights of the Palestinian state to the end," adding, "Türkiye will continue to represent the Palestinian people on every platform."
The Turkish official stressed the need to halt the brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinians and halt the genocide that has claimed the lives of nearly 70,000 Palestinians.
Kurtulmuş emphasized that a just peace that enables the Palestinians to regain their lands would be the most important step toward peace in the Middle East and the world.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 66,055 martyrs and 168,346 wounded, most of them children and women, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 442 Palestinians, including 147 children.
