Tijuana, April 29 – Mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez swore in the Neighborhood Committees of the La Presa Abelardo L. Rodríguez district as part of the commitment of the organized community involved in planning public works and services in their area.
For the mayor, there is no better example than the willingness of residents who, in addition to their personal affairs, their jobs, and their families, dedicate time to planning their city. From now on, they have a great responsibility, as they are part of the democracy and comprehensive development of the city on one of the busiest borders in the world.
Gathered on the district's esplanade, where she was accompanied by delegate Tania Guadalupe Guerrero Mena, Caballero Ramírez affirmed that the 24th City Council is working to build a new society with a transparent and united government that continues the transformation of the municipality.
During the meeting with the members who will serve as liaisons between the community and the municipal government, the mayor announced that, as she has done in the delegations where she has already sworn in the Committees, she will be closely monitoring the neighborhood councils, spaces where she understands firsthand the needs and priorities of the places where they live.
