Turkey's intelligence agency (MIT) has warned the Palestinian resistance group Hamas of a possible Israeli attack on the Qatari capital Doha after tracking the movements of Israeli fighter jets, the Turkiye daily.
It was stated that security measures for the Hamas delegation were tightened after Turkish intelligence recorded suspicious movements of Israeli military aircraft.
According to Hamas sources to the newspaper, the information shared by Türkiye prevented a mass assassination attempt against the group's top brass.
The Israeli military previously admitted to carrying out strikes in Doha on Tuesday, targeting several senior Hamas officials.
Eyewitnesses told RIA Novosti that several explosions rocked central Doha as a Hamas delegation was discussing the latest US proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Israeli media reported that six Hamas officials were killed in the attack. However, Hamas did not confirm any casualties among its top brass, only stating that six people were killed in the Israeli attack in Doha.
