Qatar cooperates with US to prevent further Israeli attacks

Qatar condemned Israel's attack on Doha as a violation of its sovereignty and international law, and said it would work with the United States (US) to prevent a repeat of the incident.

Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al Ansari stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu showed an attitude that was completely disrespectful to his partners and allies.

This makes it clear that mediators in the peace efforts will be scapegoated rather than protected. He stressed that the attack will not deter Qatar from continuing to reach a peace agreement.

Al Ansari noted that Washington informed Doha only after the bombing, but said US President Donald Trump later assured Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani that such an incident would not happen again.

The Emir warned that the attack would not go unpunished and promised all legal and diplomatic measures in response.

Qatar is a major non-NATO ally of the US and hosts the largest US military base in the Middle East.
