Mexico City , January 22.- Netflix announced a price update for its subscriptions for long-time users.
Since November, Netflix has increased its rates for new users and gradually increased them for its long-term customers.
Users who have had the service since at least 2016 received an email this Tuesday notifying them that the cost of their subscription will increase in February.
For customers who purchased the service between 2020 and 2023, the fee update was applied in January.
Netflix costs in Mexico
The cost of the ad-free streaming service increased by 30 pesos in November, with the standard price going from 219 to 249 pesos, while the premium price increased from 299 to 329 pesos.
The Netflix plan, which includes ads while watching its series, movies, and documentaries, has increased from 99 to 119 pesos.
Netflix's ad-supported plan in Mexico, the standard plan, allows users to watch series or movies on two devices at the same time, while the premium plan, which offers the highest video quality, allows users to watch four devices simultaneously.
It's worth remembering that the platform no longer allows its users to share accounts.
