This came in remarks made by representatives of the six countries at the resumption of the international conference for a peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and implementation of the two-state solution in New York City.
In his address at the session, French President Emmanuel Macron announced his country's official recognition of the State of Palestine, saying, "Our recognition of the State of Palestine paves the way for a peace plan and breaks the cycle of violence in the region."
In the same context, Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden announced his country's official recognition of the State of Palestine, stating that "the two-state solution remains the only path forward towards lasting peace."
He emphasized that "recognition is not the end of the process, but rather the beginning of a renewed commitment to hope, diplomacy, dialogue, coexistence, and the two-state solution."
For his part, Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela announced his country's recognition of the State of Palestine, explaining that this is "tangible evidence of our commitment to a genuine and peaceful two-state solution," emphasizing that his country "unequivocally supports Israel's right to exist alongside a democratic Palestinian state."
In turn, Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever announced his country's official recognition of the State of Palestine, stating that this recognition is "in accordance with international law and in fulfillment of the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people."

In the same context, Prince Albert II of Monaco announced his official recognition of the State of Palestine and affirmed his country's unwavering support for the existence of the State of Israel.
Andorran Foreign Minister Emma Torre Faos also announced her government's recognition of the State of Palestine, stressing in her speech that "the only credible path out of this (Palestinian-Israeli) conflict is the two-state solution."
With the decision of the six countries, the number of countries recognizing the State of Palestine has risen to 160 out of 193 UN member states, since the late President Yasser Arafat declared its establishment from Algeria in 1988.
Between July 28 and 30, the first business session of the "Two-State Solution" conference was held in New York, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, with high-level participation and the presence of Palestine, but absent from the United States, to support the process of international recognition of the Palestinian state.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt the operation.
