The 20th anniversary edition of the iPhone is rumored to use a COE display from Samsung.

Apple is reportedly going to adopt OLED COE display technology for its 20th anniversary iPhone, which will be released in 2027.

As reported by Macrumors this technology is believed to make the iPhone screen thinner and brighter than the previous generation.

Conventional OLED panels use a polarizing film over the display to reduce light reflection and improve contrast. However, this layer also absorbs some of the light from the OLED itself, reducing brightness and efficiency.

With COE, Apple will eliminate the polarizing layer and place the color filter directly on the OLED protective layer.
