The Office of the Comptroller urges Tijuana City Hall staff to file asset declarations.

Tijuana, May 9.– In compliance with the transparency and accountability processes of the government of Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, public servants of the XXV Tijuana City Council must submit, during the month of May, their modified asset declaration, reported the Ombudsman, Teresita Balderas Beltrán.

In this regard, Balderas Beltrán explained that municipal government employees must log into the Declaranet system on the Tijuana Comptroller's Office portal to complete the corresponding procedure. Once the declaration is completed, they must submit it in duplicate within 15 business days to the Comptroller's Asset Management department.

The ombudsman urged municipal employees to fulfill this important responsibility, and it is extremely important that once they complete their declaration digitally, they must submit it physically, as this is when the submission process is complete.

It should be noted that those who fail to comply with this obligation may be subject to various sanctions, depending on the case, which can range from a minor administrative offense to disqualification.
