The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported that "the occupation forces continue to close the tunnel road between the towns of Biddu and Al-Jib, obstructing the movement of citizens and preventing them from entering or exiting, noting that it is the only main road for approximately 70,000 citizens in the area northwest of occupied Jerusalem."
On Monday evening, the Israeli occupation forces stormed several towns northwest of occupied Jerusalem, "carrying out raids and arrests, including heavy firing of tear gas canisters," according to the WAFA news agency.
The agency added that Israeli forces "stormed the town of Qatana and arrested a number of young men after raiding a residential building. They also fired tear gas canisters and prevented ambulances from reaching a home."
On Monday, the Israeli occupation forces imposed a tight security cordon northwest of Jerusalem and raided several areas following a shooting attack that killed six Israelis and injured 30, including three seriously, five moderately, and the rest suffering minor injuries or panic attacks, according to Hebrew media.
Israel's Channel 14 reported that the attackers were from the towns of Qatanna and Qubayba, northwest of Jerusalem, where the army had imposed a cordon on the area.
Meanwhile, the occupation army closed a number of military checkpoints linking the city of Ramallah (central) with the villages to the north and west, preventing traffic and movement.
WAFA reported that "the occupation forces continue to completely close the Atara checkpoint north of Ramallah, while this morning, Tuesday, they set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Ein Siniya to the north, and detained dozens of vehicles leaving the city, significantly impeding the movement of citizens."
Since the morning hours, the area has been witnessing severe traffic jams at the entrance to Ein Siniya, as the occupation continues its "arbitrary measures" against residents, according to the official agency.
Arrest campaign
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces arrested 22 Palestinians on Tuesday during raids across the occupied West Bank.
In the northern West Bank, local sources in Jenin said that the occupation forces arrested 14 Palestinians after raiding and searching their homes in the towns of Meithalun in the west and Silat al-Dhahr in the south.
An Israeli special forces force also arrested Palestinian youth, Diaa al-Qatouni, after raiding his home in the al-Ain refugee camp, west of Nablus, according to WAFA.

In Jerusalem, the agency added that Israeli forces also arrested four Palestinian youths after raiding their homes in the town of Abu Dis, east of the city.
The occupation forces also arrested a Palestinian young man from the town of Al-Mazra'a al-Gharbiya, north of Ramallah, in the central West Bank, according to the same source.
In the south, the agency reported that the occupation forces arrested two young men from the towns of Dura and Bani Na'im in the Hebron Governorate, after searching their homes and ransacking their contents.
On a daily basis, the occupation army carries out a series of raids on cities and towns in the West Bank, including arrests of Palestinians, attacks on property and homes, and repeated violations by Israeli settlers.
Blowing up the house of a Palestinian detainee
In this context, the Israeli occupation army blew up the home of a Palestinian detainee from the Hebron Governorate in the southern occupied West Bank on Tuesday, on charges of participating in an operation to kill an Israeli and injure others last December.
WAFA reported that a large Israeli military force stormed the town of Beit Awa, southwest of Hebron, and surrounded the home of prisoner Thabet Masalma, preventing residents from accessing it before completely blowing it up.
Clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and the Israeli army around the house, during which the latter fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters, wounding two youths in the lower extremities and causing dozens of cases of suffocation, according to the WAFA news agency.
Israeli authorities accuse Musallam of participating in a shooting attack that took place last December at the Al-Khader junction, south of Bethlehem (south), which resulted in the death of an Israeli and the injury of three others.
