Apple is reportedly preparing to increase the production capacity of its earbuds product, the AirPods, which are manufactured in India.
A Macrumors report, Saturday (25/10), stated that the Foxconn manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, India, as part of Apple's largest contractor, is preparing to increase AirPods production capacity by up to two times every month.
As first reported by local Indian media Economic Times, Foxconn also appears to be planning to increase its workforce from 2,000 to 5,000 employees in the next six to eight months.
In more detail, the production capacity at the factory was initially to produce more than 100,000 AirPods units per month and is prepared to increase to 200,000 thousand units per month.
