Apple Maps users will likely see ads in the app starting next year, according to a recent report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, as quoted by TechCrunch on Sunday (26/10).
Like Google Maps and other mapping apps, Gurman says Apple plans to allow restaurants and other businesses to pay to promote themselves in search results.
Apple already places ads in the App Store, and its new move could be part of a larger strategy to introduce more ads on iOS.
