PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) supports the acceleration of the green energy transition by investing in renewable energy projects that align with the national commitment to achieving the 2060 Net Zero Emission target.
"The importance of developing energy infrastructure and synergy between the government and the private sector in creating a conducive investment ecosystem is currently paramount," said IIF Head of Advisory Irman Boyle in a statement in Jakarta, Thursday (30/10).
Irman emphasized this while speaking at the Indonesia Sustainable Energy Week Goes Regional Sulawesi event held by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
The event highlighted the importance of renewable energy investment, identified key investment priorities, and encouraged policy adjustments and collaboration among stakeholders to accelerate the clean energy transition in South Sulawesi.
"Indonesia is currently working towards sustainable infrastructure development," he said.
In response, he added, IIF is here to focus on providing financing to the private sector for infrastructure projects such as toll roads, ports, and others, based on social and environmental principles.
Irman added that his company is also contributing to the development of renewable energy and is initiating decarbonization measures to achieve the net-zero emission target.
He hopes that through collaboration with GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), his party can build financing facilities that support sustainable and innovative projects for a greener future.
In addition to discussing the challenges of infrastructure development, IIF also introduced its infrastructure financing products and services, including fund-based, non-fund-based, and advisory services.
All of these products are designed to support the acceleration of infrastructure projects, including renewable energy projects in various regions of Indonesia.
"IIF's presence at this forum underscores the company's commitment to being a catalyst for sustainable infrastructure financing in Indonesia, in line with the national agenda to achieve the Net Zero Emissions target by 2060," he emphasized.
