Liverpool have made a final decision regarding the future of their manager, Arne Slott, following their exit from the Carabao Cup with a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, their sixth loss in the last seven matches in all competitions

The reigning Premier League champions are having a miserable period under Slott's leadership, having lost four consecutive league games and dropping to seventh place in the standings, seven points behind leaders Arsenal.

Liverpool's disastrous results continued on Wednesday evening in the League Cup as the team, with a largely reserve squad, fell 3-0 at home to Crystal Palace.

Slott made ten changes to the lineup that lost to Brentford at the weekend, but the team was unable to keep up with their opponent.

Despite the anger of the fans, 63% of whom voted via the "Anfield Watch" account that Slot's future is in danger, the BBC confirmed that the Liverpool management is not thinking at all about firing the coach and that the club is "calm internally and does not make hasty decisions."

The BBC report stated: "Liverpool is a calm club and does not make emotional decisions, especially with a manager who led the team to win the league last season. The management is aware of the extent of the changes that took place in the summer and is committed to giving Slaught the necessary time to restore balance."

Liverpool are preparing for tough matches in the coming weeks, as they meet Aston Villa and Manchester City in the English Premier League and then Real Madrid in the Champions League, in a period that could define their second season under Arne Slott.
