Microsoft has announced a new update for Windows 11, bringing improvements and useful features for computer users.
What's new in Windows 25H2?
Focusing on Copilot on PCs, Microsoft made advanced searches in Windows easier with its AI-powered smart assistant, added Click to Do, and improved Recall features (for reminders of past activities). Microsoft also highlighted new customizable keyboard shortcuts and other features in Copilot.
Smoother user experience and interface:
With the 25H2 update, the Windows taskbar gets improved icon resizing support, expanded previews, a customizable second clock, and new features for improved file indexing.
Other changes in Windows 11, version 25H2:
Widgets : Multiple dashboards are now supported in Windows, along with lock screen customization, a redesigned Discover feed with stories by Copilot, and the ability to customize widgets and access summaries, videos, and photos from trusted sources.
File Explorer : Added custom views for Microsoft 365 content, context menu dividers, new sharing options for Android devices, and the ability to snooze backup reminders, restore previous tabs, and open Live Persona cards when signed in with Entra ID.
Windows Resiliency Initiative: Added a quick system recovery feature via WinRE, which enables automatic troubleshooting of boot errors, and a new BSOD (Black Screen of Death) interface makes it easier to read and understand the cause of operating system crashes.
Microsoft indicated that the new update includes numerous software fixes that affected the operation of Windows systems, and some software vulnerabilities have been addressed to further protect computer data and software.
