Indonesian U-17 national team player I Putu Panji emphasized that he and his teammates want to enjoy every moment of the 2025 U-17 World Cup in Qatar, while striving to give their best performance for Indonesia.
"Of course, we just want to enjoy it. This is a very valuable experience for us. This is the biggest tournament of our time, the World Cup," said Putu during a team training session at the Madya Stadium in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Indonesia is in Group H alongside Brazil, Honduras, and Zambia. This is Indonesia's second participation, having hosted the 2023 edition.
Panji believes that coach Nova Arianto's approach of encouraging the players to play freely and enjoy the tournament atmosphere is the best way for the team to perform optimally.
"We're focusing on tactics to prepare the team for the upcoming World Cup, so we can maximize our chances of winning the three group stage matches," he said.
Despite being in a tough group with Brazil, Putu believes the challenge must be met with enthusiasm and confidence.
