Raul Fernandez secures Australian MotoGP title

Trackhouse MotoGP Team rider Raul Fernandez secured the Australian MotoGP title at the Phillip Island Circuit on Sunday.

Fernandez became the fastest after recording a time of 39 minutes 49.571 seconds while overcoming resistance from Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider Fabio Di Giannantonio and Aprilia Racing Marco Bezzecchi.

This victory was the first victory for the racer with number 25 this season.

Starting the race, Fabio Quartararo, who secured pole position , failed to make a good start after his position dropped from the top three.

Marco Bezzecchi, who could see the gap, immediately stepped on the gas to lead the race and was followed by Raul Fernandez and Pedro Acosta who were in second and third place.

The incident occurred when entering the fifth lap when two racers, Johann Zarco and Jack Miller, fell and were unable to continue the race.

Meanwhile, The Bezz, who was leading, finally served the double long lap penalty he received when he collided with Marc Marquez at the Indonesian MotoGP.

Entering the fifth lap, The Bezz dropped to fourth position after serving a penalty.
