PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk continues to strengthen the implementation of digital transformation in the Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) Phase 1B construction project, to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability in the construction process.
BIM Coordinator of the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B Project, Ganesh Aditya Aryoprawirotama, who was met by ANTARA on the sidelines of the annual Year in Infrastructure conference held by Bentley Systems in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, said that this project is one of the infrastructure projects with the most complex technical challenges in a dense urban area.
"This project is being built in one of the most challenging public environments. Therefore, we are working to utilize innovative digital solutions to address the complexities of construction on the ground," said Ganesh while explaining his project in a presentation to the jury of the Going Digital Awards 2025 at the Okura Hotel Amsterdam, the Netherlands on Thursday (16/10).
A major challenge arises because the construction site is located in a dense urban corridor that requires coordination with many stakeholders, while still ensuring the schedule remains on time and minimizes disruption to the community.
