On October 28, the Israeli army released a video clip that it claimed documented members of the Qassam Brigades extracting "the remains of a body from inside a building that had been prepared in advance, before burying it in the ground in a nearby location."
He added: “Shortly after that, Qassam elements summoned Red Cross representatives to the location to create a false appearance of finding the body of a kidnapped (prisoner) man,” he claimed.
In response, Al-Qassam Brigades released a video on its Telegram channel on Wednesday detailing what it described as a "security deception" used during the operations to retrieve the bodies of Israeli prisoners.
She said that "the enemy monitored the extraction of the bodies of its dead via drones, added the locations where the bodies were being held to its target bank, and then targeted them during the waves of criminal bombing after the ceasefire."
She added that "the video clip broadcast by the enemy (the Israeli army) of the operation to extract one of the bodies (by its members) was a deception operation carried out by the resistance security, and it fooled the enemy, so he tried to exploit it to distort the resistance."
In the video released by the Qassam Brigades, members of the group appeared placing a fake body made of pieces of cloth inside a white shroud at the site photographed by Israeli aircraft, with the aim of misleading them and giving the impression that there was a real operation to retrieve the body of a prisoner.
She confirmed that she had adopted a number of "deceptive tactics during the exhumation of bodies to mislead the enemy and deprive him of real information."
She added: "The noble ethics of our resistance and the teachings of our true religion in dealing with prisoners and the bodies of the dead are incomprehensible to the minds of Nazis and bloodsuckers.
Hamas repeatedly asserts that Israeli claims about the "resistance's slowness" in dealing with the issue of the bodies of Israeli prisoners are "baseless allegations aimed at misleading public opinion."
She warned that "the occupation is seeking to fabricate false pretexts, in preparation for taking new aggressive steps against our people, in flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement."
Hamas called on the mediators and guarantors to assume their responsibilities in the face of these serious obstacles, to force the occupation to stop its misleading practices, and to allow the competent authorities to carry out their humanitarian tasks away from political and aggressive calculations.
Since the agreement began on October 10, Hamas has released the 20 living Israeli prisoners and the bodies of 22 out of 28 prisoners, while Tel Aviv previously claimed that one of the bodies received did not match any of its prisoners.
Israel is conditioning the start of negotiations to launch the second phase of its agreement with Hamas on receiving the remaining bodies of prisoners, while the movement asserts that it will take time to retrieve them due to the massive destruction in Gaza
In contrast, 9,500 Palestinians remain missing, killed by the Israeli army, their bodies still buried under the rubble of the Israeli war of extermination, according to the Gaza Government Media Office. More than 10,000 Palestinian prisoners, including children and women, are also held in Israeli prisons, where they suffer torture, starvation, and medical neglect. Many have died, according to Palestinian and Israeli human rights and media reports.
