PSSI Technical Director Alexander Zwiers is impressed with the figure of coach Nova Arianto who has now been promoted to coach the Indonesian U-20 national team after completing his duties with the Indonesian U-17 national team.
"We also see his leadership. I've talked a lot about Nova. It's also clear that he can really inspire the players and staff to walk towards the same goal, to achieve the same objectives. I think this is one of his strongest points," said Alex after Nova Arianto was officially appointed to the U-20 national team at the GBK Arena, Jakarta, on Thursday.
After the leadership issue, Alexander was also impressed by Nova's ambition, who always showed a passion for development in his coaching career.
"Then there's also the matter of ambition. This coach has an internal motivation to give his best for Indonesia. Nova is very ambitious and always asks questions, very initiative and proactive," said Alexander, a 50-year-old man from the Netherlands.
Alexander also believes Nova understands the Indonesian football landscape, making him a perfect fit to lead the U-20 team, which boasts many of the country's best young talents.
