Indonesian women's doubles pair Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Meilysa Trias Puspitasari are ready to capitalize on the momentum to continue their progress in the 2025 BWF World Tour Super 500 Australian Open.
They started the match with a convincing victory over the Indian pair and fourth seeds Treesa Jolly/Gayatri G. Pullela with a score of 21-10, 21-14 in the round of 32 at Quaycentre, Olympic Boulevard, Tuesday.
"We put them under pressure from the start. We planned to keep attacking, even though the field conditions were good enough for aggressive play," Ana said in an official PBSI statement after the match.
Ana/Trias were dominant from the first game. Their consistent attacking style was key to their victory over the tournament's fourth seed.
Ana/Trias emphasized that the Australian Open is an important opportunity for them to continue improving their performance and maintain consistency at a higher tournament level.
"At the Australian Open, we want to maximize our opportunities, so we have to stay fit. We need to recover well, maintain what we've done well, and improve on what was lacking in today's game," Ana added.
With this victory, Febriana/Meilysa advanced to the round of 16 and will face the winner of the duel between the Australian pair Helen/Chan/Shixin Han and Alphonsa Bijomon/Xiwen Liang.
