Two technology giants, Apple and Google, are reportedly in the final stages of discussions regarding the integration of Google's Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) model to power Apple's smart assistant, Siri.
If the deal is reached, it will be one of the largest AI partnerships in the technology industry, with a partnership value of US$1 billion (around Rp16.6 trillion) per year.
Quoting a report from Gizmochina, this agreement aims to overhaul Siri's capabilities and bring Apple one step ahead in the increasingly fierce AI competition.
If the partnership is successful, Bloomberg reports that Gemini-powered Siri could be released in spring 2026 via iOS 26.4.
