Senior defender Eky Taufik expressed his gratitude for making his 100th appearance for Persis Solo in the 13th week of the BRI Super League against Bali United on Sunday (23/11).
Quoted from the club's official website, Monday, Eky hopes to be able to contribute more to the team and the current target he is striving for is to return Persis Solo to a good position.
"My hope is that I can further improve the standings in the future. Because our current position isn't secure. I will maximize what I have to improve Persis Solo's performance," said Eky.
The 34-year-old has been part of the Persis Solo squad since 2021, when Laskar Sambernyawa was still competing in the second division of Indonesian football.
Since then, he has been a mainstay for Persis Solo and spent half a season at Bali United, helping Serdadu Tridatu win the 2021/2022 Indonesian League 1 title.
With Persis Solo, the Sragen, Central Java-born player won the 2021 Indonesian League 2 title and was promoted to the top flight.
Eky also expressed his gratitude to the fans for their support. Without their support and prayers, he believes he wouldn't be where he is today.
"Thank God, I can still contribute to Persis. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone: my family, Persis, management, and supporters for their support," said Eky.
The player, whose full name is Eky Taufik Febriyanto, has made 79 appearances for Persis Solo in the highest caste of Indonesian football, while the other 21 appearances were in other competitions.
