Fajar/Fikri are that Raymond/Joaquin are the new hope for men's doubles

Fajar/Fikri are that Raymond/Joaquin are the new hope for men's doubles  Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri are proud of their juniors, Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin, who performed brilliantly and became the new hope for the Indonesian men's doubles team after winning the 2025 BWF World Tour Super 500 Australian Open men's doubles title.

Fajar/Fikri described the young pair's performance as a new hope for the continuation of Indonesia's strong men's doubles tradition at the world level.

"The result wasn't what we had hoped for, finishing runner-up again. We're certainly disappointed, but we should still be grateful, especially considering the performance of our juniors," Fajar said in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) received on Monday.

According to Fajar/Fikri, who lost in the final with a score of 20-22, 21-10, 18-21, Raymond/Joaquin's development was very rapid.

"At the beginning of the year, I was still playing on the National Circuit, then I rose to become the International Challenge champion, Super 100 champion, runner-up at the Korea Masters, and now the Super 500 champion," Fajar added.

Fajar said Raymond/Joaquin's rapid achievements reflected their quality and readiness to compete at the top level.

"Not only did they beat us, but they beat the seeded pair from the first round. That was incredible. I hope they continue to be united and consistent," he said.
