Former four-division world champion Kazuto Ioka is set to step into the ring for his first fight in the World Boxing Association (WBA) bantamweight (53.5 kg) against Maikel Ordosgoitti on December 31 in Japan."Ioka will begin a new chapter in his pursuit of a world title at bantamweight to cement his legacy in the boxing world," The Ring reported on its official website, as monitored in Jakarta on Friday.
Ioka has held world titles in four different divisions, starting from the minimum class (47.6 kg) World Boxing Council (WBC), then light flyweight (48.9 kg), flyweight (50.8 kg) and super flyweight (52.1 kg) WBA.
