Technology companies Ericsson and Qualcomm announced the winners of the 2025 Hackathon competition for digital solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G technology at an event held in Jakarta on Friday.
The first winner of Hackathon 2025 Indonesia's Next-Gen Digital Sprint with 5G and AI was Future of Tech, a group of technology professionals focused on sustainable manufacturing solutions based on AI and 5G.
The second winner was the mAIkroskop, which transforms a regular microscope into a smart inspection system connected with 5G and AI technology so that the analysis process can be done faster, more accurately, and more easily accessed.
Meanwhile, Tanikan won third place in the 2025 Indonesia's Next-Gen Digital Sprint with 5G and AI Hackathon thanks to his AI-based fish farming pond monitoring solution.
Daniel Ode, President Director of Ericsson Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Brunei, hopes that the innovations showcased in Hackathon 2025 can be found in real companies.
He said that Hackathon 2025 was held to support the achievement of Indonesia's 2045 vision and Industrial Transformation 4.0 and its Roadmap.
"I think Indonesia's digital talent is ready and ready to fight, and that's why you're working closely with the government to ensure more 5G in Indonesia to foster this new ecosystem," he said.
