Jakarta dominates the standings with 82 gold medals at Popnas and Peparpenas

  DKI Jakarta Province dominates the temporary standings with 82 gold medals at the 17th National Student Sports Week  and the 11th National Student Paralympic Week..


Based on the match results report on the official Popnas 2025 website in Jakarta, Saturday, Jakarta added 11 gold medals to maintain its top position in the standings with 82 gold, 41 silver, and 41 bronze medals.


Dozens of gold medals were presented by athletes from swimming (12 gold), karate (eight gold), cycling (six gold), weightlifting (six gold), judo (six gold), wushu (six gold), athletics (five gold), pencak silat (five gold), wrestling (five gold), rowing (five gold).


Then, taekwondo (four golds), artistic gymnastics (four golds), rhythmic gymnastics (three golds), archery (two golds), as well as table tennis, badminton, tennis, rock climbing, and 5x5 basketball each one gold.




With this result, the host team widened the gap with Central Java in second place with 52 gold, 34 silver, 44 bronze, followed by East Java in third place after collecting 44 gold, 48 silver, and 47 bronze.


As of the eighth day, the total number of medals up for grabs in the national multi-sports event for students consisted of 297 gold, 297 silver, and 409 bronze.


Popnas XVII and Peparpenas XI Jakarta 2025 on November 1-10 were attended by 5,783 athletes consisting of 5,175 Popnas athletes and 608 Peparpenas athletes.


Popnas competes in 344 events from 23 sports, while Peparpenas competes in 125 events from four sports.


The matches took place in 30 arenas or fields of national and international standards spread across the four administrative cities
