The Orlando Magic recorded a resounding 144-103 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA Cup after Anthony Black scored a career-high 31 points and led the team's dominance in a game marked by the absence of many home players.
According to the NBA's official website, the Magic began to take control in the second quarter, tied 35-35 after 12 minutes. Black scored 27 points in the first half alone, while Franz Wagner added 21 points to help Orlando maintain its perfect 3-0 record in the NBA Cup.
The game escalated when Jalen Suggs was ejected with 27 seconds remaining in the second quarter for two technical fouls in a midcourt altercation. However, the incident didn't deter the Magic, who closed the first half with a commanding 86-60 lead.
Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 20 points. Philadelphia played with a squad lacking Joel Embiid (nursing a right knee injury), Paul George (right ankle injury), and rookie VJ Edgecombe (left calf strain).
