Ongky/Vano set high targets in the second week of the Indonesia Challenge

Indonesian men's doubles pair Alexius Ongkytama Subagio/Aquino Evano Keneddy Tangka have set a higher target for the second week of the 2025 Indonesia International Challenge.

"Last week we reached the semifinals, and our target now is to do better than last week," Vano said in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) received in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Ongky/Vano advanced to the round of 16 after defeating compatriots Hastungkoro Rasyid Athanino/Casey Franov Immanuel with a convincing score of 21-13, 21-13 at the Amongrogo Sports Hall, Yogyakarta, Tuesday.

Ongky said they had difficulty starting the match because they were still playing in a rush and were not safe in returning the ball.

"At first, we were a little hesitant and rushed, not playing safely enough. After the interval, we calmed down and focused on securing the points," said Ongky.
