Manchester City left-back Nico O'Reilly said playing for the England national team, where his debut came in the 2026 World Cup European Qualifiers Group D match against Serbia on Friday (4/11), was a dream come true.
"It was a special night for me. A dream come true for me and, of course, my family," O'Reilly was quoted as saying on Manchester City's official website in Jakarta on Saturday.
The 20-year-old footballer said he was not nervous when he played his first match with the England national team.
O'Reilly admitted he was calm and enthusiastic on the pitch. He was ready for any eventuality, having been informed beforehand by manager Thomas Tuchel that he would be fielded.
