Raymond/Nikolaus cruised smoothly into the final of the 2025 Australian Open

Indonesian men's doubles pair Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin cruised smoothly into the final after defeating Malaysia's second seeds Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin 21-15, 21-15 in the semifinals of the 2025 Australian Open at Quaycentre, Sydney, Saturday.

Raymon/Nikolaus, who were debutants at the Super 500 level, immediately advanced to the final round after defeating Malaysia's third seeds Man Wei Ching/Kai Eun Tee in the quarter-finals.

"Thank God, I'm so happy to have beaten a top pair. I'm also happy to have made it to the All-Indonesian Finals in the men's doubles," said Nikolaus.

He said that in the final match, they would play more focused because both were determined to win the championship for the first time in Super 500.

Meanwhile, Raymond said that their relaxed or carefree playing style was able to take them to the final round.

"We're not just focused on the result, but on how we can maximize our game and opportunities at this high level. We're grateful to have made it to the final," he said.

Raymond/Nikolaus will face a title match against fellow Indonesian pair, namely the winner of the match between Fajar/Fikri and Sabar/Reza in the semifinals.
