Njan Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Director General Husain Al-Musallam praised Indonesia's sports governance, which is carried out with synergy and unity among sports institutions.
"For the first time, I see extraordinary unity between the government, the NOC, and the national federation. This is a strong foundation for the future of Indonesian sports," said Husain Al-Musallam during a meeting with Raja Sapta Oktohari, Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI).
Husain, who is also the President of the International Swimming Federation (World Aquatics), is in Indonesia to attend the 2025 Indonesia Open Aquatics Championships (IOAC).
On that occasion, he witnessed good sports governance demonstrated through the synergy of the Indonesian National Olympic Committee (NOC), the government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Indonesian Aquatics Federation.
According to him, such cross-stakeholder synergy is an important asset that must be continuously nurtured for the advancement of Indonesian sports.
