The French capital, Paris, witnessed a remarkable event: the honoring of Algerian Olympic champion Iman Khalif inside the Grand Mosque, in a scene that combined religious symbolism and national pride

According to the French website "L'Oléan", during a moving ceremony, Iman Khalif was awarded the Grand Mosque's "Medal of Honor," one of the institution's highest honors, in recognition of her distinguished sporting career and the role model she has become both within and outside Algeria.

In his speech, Sheikh Shams Eddine Hafez, Dean of the Grand Mosque, praised the heroine, saying that her presence "is an added value in the edifice of humanity," stressing that her success embodies the values of work and respect, and that she has become a role model for an Algerian woman who faced difficulties with courage and raised her country's name high in international forums.

This honor coincided with Iman Khalif's remarkable presence at Paris Fashion Week, where she attended the Chanel show at the Grand Palais in the French capital, confirming her status as a symbol that combines athletic strength and feminine elegance.

Eman Khalif won a silver medal at the 2022 Women's World Boxing Championships, as well as a gold medal at the 2022 Mediterranean Games and the African Boxing Championships.

Imane Khelif's participation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games was significant as she was the first female boxer to represent Algeria in the Olympics.

At the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, she achieved a historic feat by winning the gold medal in the 66 kg category.
