The Ministry of Communication and Digital held a public consultation regarding the Draft Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Digital concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the Information Museum.
Public consultation on the Draft Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Digital concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the Information Museum will be held until November 7, 2025.
According to a press release from the ministry in Jakarta on Thursday, the public can participate in the public consultation by submitting input and suggestions to the email address tu.rowai@komdigi.go.id.

Public consultation on the draft regulation was conducted in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Digital Number 1 of 2025 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the Ministry of Communication and Digital, which regulates the organizational structure of the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT).

The Information Museum is one of the UPTs under the Directorate General of Public Communication and Media of the Ministry of Communication and Digital.
The main task of this technical implementation unit is to preserve and provide services to the public regarding objects of historical and scientific value in the field of communication and information.
In carrying out its duties, the Information Museum, among other things, prepares programs for preserving historical collections, conserving and restoring objects of historical value in the field of communication and information, as well as providing educational services to the public.
The Information Museum also functions as a means of disseminating information and managing administrative affairs and performance reporting.
This museum is considered to have a strategic role as a center for education and preservation of communication history in Indonesia.
The museum's collection of archives, documentation, and communication devices can be a learning medium regarding developments in the world of public information for all levels of society.
According to the ministry, the Information Museum contributes to building historical literacy and strengthening public understanding of the role of communication in national and state development.
