The Samsung Galaxy S26 series of phones is rumored to come with a thinner and lighter body than its competitor, the iPhone 17 series.
As reported by Gizmochina on Monday, the information comes from tech leaker @UniverseIce who shared a comparison table of the specifications of the two series via the X platform.
According to the leak, the Galaxy S26 is expected to weigh 164 grams, the S26+ around 191 grams, and the S26 Ultra around 214 grams. These figures make the S26 and S26 Ultra slightly lighter than their predecessors, while the S26+ is only one gram lighter than its predecessor.
All Galaxy S26 models are said to be thinner and lighter than the iPhone 17, which will be their direct competitor. Samsung has done something similar with previous generations, so this consistency is seen as an effort to maintain a more comfortable user experience.
Previously, another leak had mentioned the Galaxy S26 Ultra's weight at 217 grams, leading to a slight discrepancy in the data. Such discrepancies are common in the early stages before final specifications are announced ahead of launch.
