To protect users, TikTok will remove 25 million pieces of content during the first half of 2025.

  Digital entertainment platform TikTok revealed that it removed more than 25 million pieces of content throughout the first half of 2025, including 232,000 pieces of fraud-related content.


TikTok Indonesia's Senior Manager, PR and Communications, Edwin Lengkei, said that 94 percent of the removed content was proactively removed before being reported by users.


"This step is to protect users from various forms of online manipulation and fraud," he said in a statement.


He emphasized that user safety is a top priority for TikTok, thus implementing a number of security measures including Community Guidelines as policy guidelines on TikTok, layered moderation, and security features.




In addition, there is also the #PikirDuaKali literacy campaign in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital  the PASTI Task Force, IM3, and creators to expand the reach of education about digital security in the community.


"TikTok does not tolerate and does not permit any form of manipulation or fraud on our platform. All content that violates our Community Guidelines, including content containing online fraud, will be removed from the platform," said Edwin.
