The permanent missions of Turkey, the United States, Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan and Jordan to the United Nations issued a joint statement on the draft resolution concerning Gaza.
The statement said that the aforementioned countries expressed their joint support for the Gaza draft resolution, which was prepared by the United States and is currently before the UN Security Council for consideration.
The joint statement indicated support for the Gaza peace plan, which was announced on September 29 and which also received the support of the countries participating in the Sharm el-Sheikh meetings in Egypt on October 13.
He pointed out that the plan offers a viable path to peace and stability, not only between Israelis and Palestinians but for the entire region.
On October 13, the “Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit” was held, chaired by Presidents Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Donald Trump, with the participation of more than 20 international leaders and officials, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and King Abdullah II of Jordan.
The summit aimed to "end the war in the Gaza Strip, promote efforts to establish peace and stability in the Middle East region, and open a new chapter of regional security and stability," according to the Egyptian presidency at the time.
