The Chairman of the National Sports Committee (KONI) of West Sumatra Province (Sumbar) Hamdanus said that the Minang region, together with Jambi Province, is working towards becoming the host of the 2032 National Sports Week (PON).
"I have communicated with the Chairman of the Jambi Province KONI and they also hope to be able to host the 2032 PON together with West Sumatra Province," said West Sumatra KONI Chairman Hamdanus in Padang City, Monday.
Hamdanus said the proposal or submission to host the 2032 PON had begun from November 1, 2025, to May 1, 2026. Various registration preparations were also being made by the two regions to be able to host the four-yearly sporting event.
