Arne Slot keeps the door open for Mohamed Salah

Arne Slot keeps the door open for Mohamed Salah  Liverpool manager Arne Slot stated that the door is still open for Mohamed Salah after his star player made a controversial interview after the match against Leeds United at Elland Road.

The interview resulted in Salah being left out of Liverpool's squad for their Champions League clash against Inter Milan at the San Siro.

"There's always the possibility of a player coming back. So that's it," Slot said in a press conference, as quoted by Liverpool's website on Tuesday.

In the interview, Salah admitted that his relationship with Slot had been strained after being benched for the third time in a row against West Ham United, Sunderland and Leeds.

Regarding this, Slot has a different view, "No, that's not how I feel. But he has the right to feel whatever he feels."

"I didn't feel it at all until Saturday night because I think when I don't play him anymore, players usually don't like the manager that much. But he has a lot of respect for my staff, his teammates, and he trains very hard. So, to some extent, I was surprised to hear that after he made those comments," said the Dutchman.
